TEMPORARY ROADS POSITIONS
JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

 The Pit River Roads Department is taking applications for Five Part-Time Temporary Roads Positions to work on various road projects.  (Note:  Job will not exceed six months.)

Requirements 

Applicant must submit to a pre-employment drug test.  Applicants must provide for their own transportation to their workstation.

Duties to Include

Duties will be to assist crew members in road maintenance such as culvert repair, crack sealing, crack filling, fog sealing, balance aggregate, partial and full depth patching, pavement marking, sign replacement, ditch cleaning, some flagging and shrub removal.  In addition, a basic knowledge of equipment operation and other assistance as needed.  Location of these projects will be mainly in the Burney and Montgomery Creek Area.  Also, work will include and is not limited in the Tribe’s 100 mile square area which includes Alturas.

Indian Preference 

Priority preference will be given to qualified Pit River Tribal Members.  Qualified American Indian, Alaskan Natives under the Federal Indian Preference Act, (43 CFR, 17.3 [d]), and veterans will also be considered.
