The Pit River Roads Department is taking applications to hire 10 temporary workers to work on various road projects. These positions will not exceed two months.
Requirements: Applicant must submit to a pre-employment drug test.
Duties to Include: Will be to assist crew members in road maintenance such as culvert repair, crack sealing, crack filling, fog sealing, balance aggregate, partial and full depth patching, pavement marking, sign replacement, ditch cleaning, some flagging and shrub removal. This project will be in Alturas at the XL Reservation.
Indian Preference: Priority preference will be given to Pit River Tribal Members. Qualified American Indian and Alaskan Natives under the Federal Indian Preference Act, (43 CFR, 17.3 [d]) will also be considered.
